As reported in the Arizona Republic -
"A 33-year-old man has been arrested and accused of luring a woman through the classified ads to an empty house that's up for sale and raping her, authorities said this morning.
The victim was bringing a personal computer to sell to Vansant when he put on a mask, pulled her into the vacant house and held her captive for two hours, during which he bound and raped her, police say."
The assailant lives next door to the house which is for sale in Phoenix. The article says he "knew the code to the lockbox" that was on the house. I'm very curious how he accessed the home. It may have been what is referred to as a "Contractor's Lockbox" which doesn't require a Realtor's secure electronic key to open but instead uses just a numerical code punched manuall into the numbers on the box.
Hopefully they nabbed the right guy and hopefully there won't be any copycat crimes committed as a result of this.
Just wanted to wish you all a
